Hematobiochemical profiles, mineral concentrations and oxidative stress indicators in beef cattle with pica
Ten beef cattle with pica and ten healthy controls: serum iron, copper and selenium were significantly lower in affected animals, and total antioxidant status fell with them. Trace mineral deficiency, not cortisol, separated the two groups.
